April Karma Yoga Challenge

Taking action to shift our inner world is just the first step. We really begin to live our yoga practice when we take what we've learned off the mat and into daily life. Here is a simple way to apply your practice in a way that effects the world around you.

April's Challenge: A Kindness Practice
What if we all practiced kindness? Allow yourself to envision for a moment what our World would look like with everyone practicing kindness. See yourself acting from kindness toward others, and that kindness spreading out like a wave to affect all of humanity. Imagine kindness being the response of choice at the most challenging moments.

The first step is the vision of a World connected through kindness. The second step is to put that vision to work in your own life, regardless of whether others are participating or even noticing.

During the month of April, integrate kindness in your day. Each day, commit one random act of kindness. Go out of your way to help out a stranger, spend time with someone who is isolated, or hug a cranky person! Be creative, and share your stories below.
